"It's too early for chicken... Son of a Bitch!"

cheers jeers honkers and shouters
over the weekend the tigers felled
the bronx bombers... but who doesn't
know that by now...
it was odd working ing the shadow of Comerica Park

i was on stage at 1515 Broadway delivering clever little
quips about relationshipal superiority and the truth
(well i was acting anyway)
and every so often you could hear it:
a swell of emotion and sound could be heard through
the storefront window, through the dark curtains, and
right up on stage... Ann was breaking up with Larry on
a low lit stage and Kenny Rogers was roasting the New
York Yankees. Priceless
the next day was an early game... Bonderman was filthy
and the Tigers clinched about one half hour before showtime
instead of the collected swell of Tiger love emerging from the
stadium it was horn honking, shouts of joy, wall banging, and
Yankee taunts creeping into the background noise of play.
we close out the show this friday and saturday...
just in time for games 3 and 4 at the corner of Michigan and Trumbull
(oh... that wouldn't be a problem... i meant Montcalm and Witherall...
does anyone even say that? By the way, in case you wanted to know...
Comerica Park sits on the site where Clarence Hurley shot and killed
Drexel in a little film called True Romance... downtown has come so
far.... "What's a Drexel?")

Comments:

(BTW, it's Worley & Drexl...I'm just sayin'!)
