When ignorance ceases to be cute

can't get the picture post thing to work... it used to be cute when i was all "what's an online diary...ooh that's space-age" or maybe i'm the only one who thought it was cute.
anyway i'll just put another poem on instead... this one came from the poetry exchange between myself and mr. Robert Zajkowski.

What I learned Yesterday

i learned to breathe bad air
heavy scented with the taste of chalk
it's all about the adjustments
mix and match lungs and the geometry of skin
if i think of her as a triangle
then it doesn't matter that i'm so square

i learned to speak with a dry mouth
caught in the throat and clipped
it's all about the will
mix and match syllables and the cost of thought
if i think of her as a word
then it doesn't matter that i don't know the language

i learned to walk on the sea
ever shifting and frothy
it's all about faith
mix and match gravity and the law of Neptune
if i think of her as a fish
then it doesn't matter that i'm drowning

Comments:
it was cute when you called me on my vacation:
J: "how do you make that thingy, you know the one, with the colored words where you click it and it takes you to another place?"

A: "...a link?"

J: "yes. I believe you call it a 'link'."

thanx and the picture thing is working again but i need to figure out how to write around it better.
the preview option doesn't display what actually posts. space-age!
